Waterfall Staircase

Taken off the Turkey Hill trail in Lancaster, PA while hiking with my photography meetup group, this waterfall photo inspired a staircase remodel! The original version (see below) was pretty but I wanted more contrast - the final result was achieved by making it black and white, then selectively adding color back in. The experience of being a part of the photography group and sharing my love for photography, while learning from others has been so helpful; so when I wanted to enhance a staircase with a meaningful image, this one came to mind immediately. I love the movement and dimension created by the water reflection bouncing off of the black stair treads.
