Berries Tray

This image is one of a series from the Hilton Inn Hotel in Wilkes-Barre, PA, and is one of my very favorites! I was out for a walk in the town, and stumbled upon an old worn down facility with fencing around it. I was fascinated by the broken glass and crumbling bricks in the building behind it, but could not get close enough, or find the right angle. I was just about to leave, thinking, “what a shame, to have a cool building like this crumble to nothing”, when I realized that there were really pretty leaves and colorful berries growing all over the fence. I took a few shots, and knew that I had captured the beauty in that moment. And I had! This photo has been the inspiration for a few projects, including this tray that was one of my first prototypes!
