Trunk Tabletop

This image is titled ‘Exposed’ and is a close-up of the top of a wood bench, snapped one misty morning. I love the texture and rawness in this image. When I started working with the photograph, I discovered how much color (esp. violet) there is within the grey and browns. I liked the idea of using the Exposed bench with all of it’s character on a bright side table. I worked carefully to select the blue-violet color that was revealed in the image. The raw texture of the wood provides deep contrast with the bright, glossy and sophisticated finish. (Oh, and this vibrant piece is still available for sale - $280.00!)
